SF Actors Workshop & The Young Actors Workshop

Classes are taught by Giovannie Espiritu , a seasoned, working actress who has been nominated for BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS at Methodfest alongside Academy Award Nominees Alfre Woodard, and Amy Irving. Her PRIMETIME credits include a recurring role on ER (NBC), BONES (FOX), GILMORE GIRLS (ABC), and TRAUMA (NBC). She can be seen in recent commercials for Orchard Supply Hardware and ONStar.

Combining her experience on-camera with her experience on the casting and agency side of the business, Giovannie’s classes are designed to:

• Help students hone their acting skills

• Provide a secure environment that nurtures growth

• Get students comfortable with the audition process

• Create a better understanding of the business of acting

• Produce actors who get booked

Her students have worked on shows such as TRAUMA, screen tested for the Ben Stiller film, “Little Fockers,” and are represented by the top agencies in the Bay Area and Los Angeles including: JE Talent, Stars, Look, Ford, Marla Dell, Boom Models and Talent, All American Rascals, and William Morris Endeavor.

Giovannie brought out Aliyah's ability to act over the past four months and the casting directors are impressed with her ability to go in and out of character. Giovannie spent an entire Saturday class having the kids go over the sides for the part of the "Love Triangle" to help Aliyah with the audition and she nailed the part.  The casting director looked at me with surprise and this was an awesome feeling seeing your child succeed and accomplish her goal while having fun!!
